Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council
All local high school students are eligible to participate. Students can be nominated by their schools or youth organizations, or self-nominate.
CMYC is a partnership between youth, the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and GenerationNation, and is chartered by the State of North Carolina.
How do I join CMYC?
First, join the email and text list. Then attend a meeting!
When you sign up, you will receive information about CMYC and instructions for joining the Remind. You will be added to the email list where you will receive CMYC meeting and activity info, schedule, and more. Once you attend a meeting, you are a CMYC member. You will need to meet attendance requirements to remain an active member. Meetings are held approximately twice a month, with a combination of virtual and in person meetings.
